Whether they are filling theatres or adding an air of sophisticated elegance to corporate functions or bringing a flair of jazz to private parties, this international quartet from Poland, Holland and the UK has what it takes with their uniquely feminine musical style.

Aneta Moran, a recent arrival on the Dublin jazz scene, is the founding member of Sax Sisters, which is based on her former band in Munich, Sax Sisters Germany. She studied music at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich, earning a degree in music and subsequently earned a postgraduate diploma in music therapy at the Technical University of Augsburg. As well as playing the alt and soprano saxophone with the Sax Sisters and feisty Astor Pazziolle duets with Isabella Stefauski, Aneta also works as a music teacher and writes her own compositions. Her influences range from jazz to classic music. |

Mischa O Mahony, originally from the Netherlands, has worked with numerous bands since arriving in Ireland in 1996, playing at the likes of Dublin’s O2 and Glastonbury Festival. Before moving to Dublin she played in Galway’s ‘Black Magic Big Band’. Currently she is one of the main brass players and founding member of 'Jerry Fish & the Mudbug Club’. The Sax Sisters is her latest passion. Besides performing, in 2005 Mischa completed her MA in Trinity’s ‘Music & Media Technology’ course, specializing in electro-acoustic composition. |

Vicky Andrews hails from the South of England but trained as a musician in the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. During this time Vicky was a member of the Malarky Saxophone Quartet and was coached by the Apollo Saxophone Quartet. Performances included Radio 3's Young Artists Forum, finalists in the Royal Over-Seas League Chamber Music Competition and achievement of a Professional Performance Diploma. Since moving to Ireland in 1999 Vicky has performed with RTE Concert and Symphony Orchestras, Dave Gold Big Band, Brian Byrne Big Band, Hot House Big Band and now the Sax Sisters! |
